My objective is to built a house (sun room) with a minimalist architecture on one side of a hill. During the terrain study, I notice that the west appearance was the most beautiful. Beside the house I decided to project a small patio to maintain the sea appareance.
In the north facade, I don’t find nesecary to have windows to provide heat loss, not to ruin sun room effect.
In the east part, it is a huge field space and I project the house entrance and of course the patio you request where I place the furniture you need ( wood burnig stove, outdoor wood storage, outdor fire pit, seatings etc.
In the south facade, it is obvious that is created the sun room effect, so fresh in summer and warm in winter.
The roof wil be realized with two opposite slopes. This is for two reasons :
1. Helps to distribute snow weight in winter
2. You take advantage 100% of the sun room effect.
On one of the two roofs, I think putting two solar panels which can heat one reservoir which can be colegated with a mini sink. So the reservoir which can be filled from rain water colegated with the panels, will assure you even warm water.
As your description, for the outside materials I used only naturals ones which you can even easily find in nature ( wood, stones and bricks).
In the interior house ( 12 feet wide and 8 feet deep)is also created with wood elements pavment and walls). I put inside a convertible sofa – bed, a mini sink, a mini table and a wardrobe.
For the windows I suggest using double glass windows with vaccum gass which helps maintain a costant temperature
