Kitchen remodeing needs some different ideas. I currently have a kitchen cabinet maker that has done elevation and overhead drawings, however, we currently found a particular wall which we need to keep in place because of pipes and electrical that we can not move. The design we are going for is a very modern contemporary look. I currently have no overhead cabinets and want to keep it that way. We have one wall that is full shelving with built in appliances with paneling to match the cabinets. The wall that needs to stay gives us a difficult problem because it creates an awkward space that will hurt our open modern look. I currently want have an island with barstools that I want to keep to some extent, wether it is turned 90 degrees or it is a floating island and not connected to anything I am not sure yet. I will submit the overhead drawing that my cabinet maker did. I will mark in red the area that needs to maintain a wall. There is also a door that we can fill in and wall off if we want to opposite the wall. I will mark the wall in RED on the picture attached. Again I am going for a modern, open look. Meaning taking out wall and making the space look wider taller and sleeker.
