We just bought a house and want to decorate it from scratch without moving most of our furnishings in from the previous home. This 2 level, 4 bedroom, modern home is completely empty, so it's a great starting point for any interior decorator (or designer).
We would like to start our project on arcbazaar with two rooms: living and family. The living room is 13x15 and the family room is 18x13. I've uploaded the floor plan and photos of all rooms in the house. I've also uploaded samples of other interior design photos I've liked on the web.
We are a family of four (dad, mom, 2 boys). We like very easy/casual/comfortable yet sophisticated, contemporary, unique, and elegantly simple/uncluttered furnishings. In addition, we have traveled globally but have lived in America most of our lives and have an appreciation for both, US and overseas furnishings. Given this, we can see taking hints from a wide variety of inspirations such as nature (e.g. warm earth tone colors, plants), cottage/rustic, southwestern (e.g. orange/browns), asian artifacts and maybe some wicker, and some influences from modern, transitional, country style kitchen BUT not as much mediterranean, traditional, or tropical. Here are results from an online quiz we just took: http://www.interiordesignpackages.com/design-style-quiz/styles/mcont.html#sthash.NTYTw9m8.dpuf
