Of your three design options we liked the original draft the best.
The flow of your floor plan is outstanding!
Although placing the tv and fireplace between the west windows will require removing two of the windows, it does not, in our opinion, detract from the overall connection to the outdoors. In fact, it improves it by refocusing attention on that wall to the northwest door and the northwest windows, which we felt seemed "far away" from the main room. Your design draws the various parts of the basement together and creates a good feeling of "separate but connected" rooms which is a trait we admire in antique Cape Cod homes and which we want to achieve in our new home. You captured that in your design.
As an aside, your graphics package is outstanding.
Although your original design did not include the ring chair, recall the ring chair was only desired, not required, and so it was not listed in our official design criteria. So omitting the chair did not penalize the design, and we may find another way to use it -- perhaps outdoors.
You did not show 3D renderings of the south part of the layout - we would have liked to see them.
Your design was the unanimous pick of all our family and friends who reviewed the submissions.
I love the flow. Great use of space, especially the guest room area-- I like that it can be closed off but still have natural light. The window seat is very nice. Of the center area options I like the fireplace on the side wall so you don't miss the windows, but will there be building issues with it being over there? the wide fireplace is very cool. Overall gorgeous design.
