Master Bathroom Remodel: The overall home is a large transitional leading towards contemporary design that has a mission/arts and crafts feel.
Overall looking for a spa/retreat feel to the bathroom. The biggest item of design concern is to enlarge the shower and flow it into the bathtub space.
There is a large octagonal rotunda with clear story lighting that we would like to center a decorative tile mosaic underneath. We are looking to eliminate the sunken tub and likely replace with a pedestal tub, in roughly the same location but no longer recessed. We would like to increase the size of the shower with addition of another shower head. The challenge is integrating/flowing the shower in with the bathtub and large windows. The small window currently between the shower and bathtub is acceptable to modify/eliminate, as is the window on the opposite side if balance is needed.
We would like to move the vanity to the right and place a "pass through" fireplace here which shares a common wall with master Bedroom. Need a new location for the vanity with seating.
Open to eliminating the exterior door to make room for linen storage or even new vanity area.
We are looking for travertine tile flooring and travertine tile in the shower.
Want to maximize using glass for the shower (do not want an open/snail shower design).
Cabinet should match the spa/retreat theme and maximize storage.
Would prefer individual framed mirrors over the sinks. Square raised sinks are preferable.
Overhead duct soffits cannot be removed.
Recessed lighting, chandelier over bathtub.
